What Does It Mean?

What does it mean…
When the sky falls down upon your head
and your world goes dark?
Does it mean the end of life?
Does it mean the beginning of something better,
Or worse?

What does it mean…
When everything you touch turns to dust,
curls up and blows away?
Does it mean you are cursed?
Does it mean you should stay in bed,
pull the covers over your head and hope to die?

What does it mean…
When your life becomes empty,
heavy and too much to bear?
Does it mean that it's time to end it?
Does it mean that an end is at hand,
or a beginning?

What does it mean…
Does it matter?
Does it make a difference,
knowing or not?
